Former NFL players should not be forced to turnover concussion settlement money to pay off debts if they file for bankruptcy, a judge ruled

In her decision last week, U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams of Miami upheld an earlier ruling that said money from the National Football League’s settlement falls under the category of a disability payment, a type of payment that a bankrupt person is entitled to keep during their case.
