Deandre Somerville will now be on probation for three months and have to carry out 30 hours of community service.

Judge Reduces Deandre Somerville's Probation and Community Service After Handing Jail Sentence to Juror Who OversleptA judge has reduced the probation and community service terms of Deandre Somerville, having previously handed the 21-year-old a 10-day jail sentence and a year on probation for oversleeping and missing jury duty.

Judge Kastrenakes' decision to reduce Somerville's probation and community service came after the young man served 10 days behind bars. "It hurts, but it's a lesson learned. It could have been worse. He could have given me 365 days in jail," Somerville told WPTV ahead of his appeal hearing last Friday.

Perhaps law-enforcement should be taught in situations when there is no eminent danger, DO NOT shoot to kill. I prefer a big ole sloppy wet kiss with a little tongue action!
