After drama and delay Cochise County Supervisors certified their county election results—after a judge ordered them to do it.

Supervisors had trouble finding a lawyer to take their case. The Cochise County Attorney took a wave off, saying he wouldn’t help break the law. They finally got a lawyer Thursday morning but asked for a delay so he could get up to speed on the case. The judge ruled no and told them to go right out and certify the vote.

Supervisors Tom Crosby and Peggy Judd had raised questions about the validity of voting machines since a few weeks before the election. They tried and failed to have all ballots counted by hand. Supervisor Ann English wanted to certify the vote without delay. She said Crosby really had something else in mind for that Friday meeting.

Cochise County picks legal representation in election fightThe Cochise County Board of Supervisors held an emergency meeting Thursday morning to determine legal representation in its election fight. Or they could just certify the damn votes. That was an illegal meeting for lack of sufficient notice. This was not an emergency. It was a situation they created. Any contract that was entered into is void so that attorney is working for free. Cochise residents need to make sure no taxpayer dollars are used for this attorney nor are payments made by outside sources of funds which is also illegal. It's time to force these yahoos to pay back taxpayers from their own funds and assets.

Judge rules Cochise County must certify election canvass by 5 p.m. ThursdayBREAKING: A judge has ruled that the Cochise County Board of Supervisors must canvass their 2022 election results by 5 p.m. today. Man, I hope they don’t and push back. Either have the backbone everyone says they have or just lay down. Surprise surprise! The law wins. What losers. They need to be prosecuted. Hopefully they've listened and this is over. They should have been fined or spend time in jail so should Lake for encouraging this illegal behavior. They broke the law and so did lake. They belong in jail.
