NEW YORK - JPMorgan Chase & Co will provide $125 million over the next five years to nonprofit groups in the United States and abroad that help people save, pay down debt and improve their credit scores, the bank said on Wednesday.
“We see financial health as a cornerstone of inclusive growth in cities”, Colleen Briggs, head of community innovation at JPMorgan Chase’s corporate responsibility office, said in an interview. Briggs said the investments aim to help organizations build out technology or complete other steps needed to scale their services in their communities or nationwide.
So they're giving $125 mill to whoever came up with that tweet about not spending money on personal hygiene and transportation? Great job.
This program really just helps them have more money to loan out and invest while paying extremely low interest rates to the general public. Why not teach people how to invest $ and make it grow better?

They should encourage employers to pay low- and middle-income people more so that they have money to save.

I guess I'm jaded by hearing investments in the news in the range of billions of $. $125 million does impress me as much as it once did.
If JP Morgan wants it. I don't. The crooks are trying to prop up their bullshit economy.
