Velshi, who has been delivering reports from the streets of that protest-torn city, was struck by a rubber bullet while covering the scene, just one of a number of mainstream press operatives confronted by new realities as they set about their job of trying to provide information to the public about a story that is more dangerous than the norm.

State Police supported by National guard fired unprovoked into an entirely peaceful rallyJournalists covering it all found themselves the target of police tactics, having to work to evade being hurt or injured, and even confronted by crowds on the scene.

The governor of Minnesota just showed what leadership in a crisis looks likeEarly Friday morning, CNN reporter Omar Jimenez and his crew were arrested while covering the protests that have sprung up in Minneapolis following the death of George Floyd. CillizzaCNN There must have been a different presser than what I saw. It looked like he dropped the ball where he could and was shifting blame. I agree the cluster in MN isn't all his fault as most falls to the local idiots. At least he asked the looters to keep wearing masks. CillizzaCNN The guy has no leadership qualities. But hail to the left. CillizzaCNN lol. Democrat Governor, AG, Mayor, DA, and Police Chief all screw up in every way possible, from the cop's slow prosecution to allowing part of Minneapolis to be destroyed. That's 'real leadership'? And just think, there's some people who'll buy this crap.
