Draymond Green is taking an indefinite leave from the Warriors after he hit Jordan Poole in practice Wednesday.

SAN FRANCISCO — Coach Steve Kerr tapped second-year forward Jonathan Kuminga to start Sunday’s preseason home opener in place of Draymond Green, who is stepping away from the team after he punched Jordan Poole at Wednesday’s practice.

Kuminga came off the bench in the Warriors’ two exhibition games in Japan last weekend. He contributed six points, three assists and one rebound in a team-high 26 minutes in the preseason opener Sept. 30. Two days later, he scored five points and grabbed four rebounds in 25 minutes. “I’m going into my second year so I have more experience on what’s going on on the court and what the team wants me to do and what I need to do,” he said. “I’m always prepared by the moment.”

My BEST friend and I duked it out……. I got in a good shot….. He got in several….. Whopped my ass….. We’re STILL good friends 🤩

Draymond Green taking leave of absence after punching fellow Warrior Jordan Poole at practiceGolden State Warrior forward Draymond Green held a press conference Saturday to apologize again for punching Jordan Poole at practice and announce he's taking a leave of absence after footage of the incident was leaked. Both were at fault! Poole first shoved Green in the chest but Green should have held his temper & walked away. Instead he punched Poole in the face. It seems both need to take a leave of absence & work on their anger issues. Clearly both of them are afflicted with anger problems. Just curuous if draymond would be apologizing if there wasn't video of the incident.
