A longstanding dilemma for religious conservatives is being revived: much of the research for coronavirus inoculations relies on the use of material derived from human fetal tissue -- something they have spent years fighting against.

"We are proud to bring our COVID-19 vaccine to the world and to contribute to ending this pandemic," a Johnson & Johnson spokesperson told ABC News, adding their vaccine development has been held to the"highest bioethical standards and guidelines," and they look forward to meeting what's such a critical need worldwide for COVID-19 vaccine. In this Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021 file photo, people are reflected on a puddle as they walk in St. Peter's Square, at the Vatican.

While waiting for the Food and Drug Administration's decision to authorize the Johnson & Johnson vaccine Friday, the Archdiocese of New Orleans put out a statement saying that while the Pfizer & Moderna vaccines can be deemed"morally acceptable" by their remote connection, Johnson & Johnson's is"morally compromised."

Johnson & Johnson's vaccine was tested with new variants of COVID-19, and has shown to be effective against them; Pfizer and Moderna were tested prior to the emergence of these variants. "The moral duty to avoid such passive material cooperation is not obligatory if there is a grave danger, such as the otherwise uncontainable spread of a serious pathological agent," the Vatican said in aControversy aside, scientists say that countless important medical discoveries have relied on fetal tissue, leading to significant work in research and treatment of diseases like AIDS and Zika.

This is also the same company that knew their talcum powder could cause birth defects & cancer. They owe over $2 billion in lawsuits. It's convenient that they develop a vaccine so quickly after they lost their appeal.

There's no law saying they have to get it. Let them go about their daily lives without it. And then they can deal with the fall out of their decision.

Since when religious conservatives know anything about science, let them have Fun with their F dilemma

Response to the dilemma of use of foetal cell lines in vaccines from a Catholic moral teaching perspective YouTube: Facebook:

Trading/investing under your management was my turning point. Thank you alice_forex_ ,I was very skeptical. But am very happy I did.

it is notjing that religion has a say on, this is a science experiment ,and we the lab rats, my friend just died within weeks with sudded bacterial pneumonia. Not even a notice to the city or this building what does that say about contagious distance' f..k u cdc

Humans whose minds are programmed with bs are worse than Neanderthals.

Even though fetal cells are used to grow vaccine viruses, vaccines do not contain these cells or pieces of DNA that are recognizable as human DNA.

Is not a dilemma for them.....if they are so concerned..... don't have the vaccine, its a choice they have to make, as do we all.....

There truly should be a law against all these religious groups. Just when I think they can't become anymore dangerous than they are already.

Then they need to develop an alternative cell line with an identical 48 medical research history.

now we know where did the aborted baby go.

And what does a Republiklan have to say... fuck 'em let them die!? Ask Moscow Mitch, CancunTed, call Hawley, Rubio, Graham, Gym, et al. McQarthy or Devin! So sayeth their Lord... Evilgelical readings according to the teachings of malevolent Supremacy. Gone awry of brains!

Just give it and shut up.

Did you ask any of these 'religious conservatives' for chapter and verse where this was a sin? Did you *explain* *the* *science* *to* *them*?

Religious conservatives are a failure just like every other conservative. Intellectually, morally, ethically, and probably many, many other ways.

Sick how they care about a fetus but support systemic child abuse.

Not in the bible!

Cool. Darwinism.

No one vaccine can be side-effect free. Most vaccines deliver 'reactogenic' side-effects... Understand the side effects of COVID-19 vaccines and messages from volunteers 'worst-case scenario'

The pope said take it. Shut up or kick rocks.

Plus they literally pray for the Apocalypse.

Oh Jesus Christ. Why would you give people MORE reasons not to get vaccinated?

The Fetus = The only human that is 'holy' to Evangelicals. Once that child is out of the womb, it's 'fuck 'em.' ProFetus religion

If they’re pro-life, they’ll want to stay alive. It’s not even on the vaccine.

A vegan’s worst nightmare. You injected me with what?

I'm tired of Christians trying to force the rest of us to forgo science and live our lives by their beliefs you have the right to your beliefs they're yours, keep them to yourself. You do not have a right to force your beliefs upon anyone else or make us live under your rules. JS

US_FDA needs to approve therapeutic Zyesami for the people currently on vents in hospitals dying. 😡 Aviptadil zyesami

Religious conservatives should hold out for the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine if they so chooses. Others can take the J&J vaccine if they don’t have issues with it.

Need your help covering this story! My friends life depends on it please cover his trial this month in San Bernardino!!! Please contact me for more info. Mark geragos and Alexandra Kazarian is defending him! Please help save a life and bring light to injustice

The Republicans have been trying to thin out the non-white population with their beliefs for centuries. If they adhere to their beliefs then they will be thinning out themselves.

The cult masters and their silly lies.

So the church dilemma is whether to disallow use of tissue from fetuses from decades ago that would have been flushed down the toilet if unused, or to save millions of lives. Please define pro-life for me.

SaveMyanmarCitizen

Nothing saying they have to get the Covid-19 vaccine. Here's to wishing them luck with that

SaveMyanmarCitizen

But they'll drink the 'blood of Jesus'

dont want it, dont take it, God can defend himself, doesnt need your meddling

Like Bart Star was a huge Republican but want a treatment after his stoke so he went to Mexico. Rich can afford planes and make it happen, us middle class can’t!

those clueless hypocrites shouldn't get the vacc then if that's what they believe

Make sure your legislature is expanding graveyards and stockpiling coffins. There is a real downside to a pandemic. Philadelphia didn’t understand in 1918 and lost 4500 in ONE day. This is just prep for the big one.

Haha where is your god now?

Written by someone who won’t use shampoo tested on animals

Enough already with their bullshit!! I look at this the same way I look at these fanatics telling women what they can and can’t do with their own bodies...according to their god their bible🤬🤬🤬🤬

It’s easy. Don’t take it. And don’t burden hospitals when you are dying from it either. And, please...stay away from the rest of us. More tots and pears on the way!

All that to control citizes and to impose feminism again.

AND there's those pesky adverse reactions

Johnson & Johnson vaccine rekindles religious dilemma over morality of using fetal tissueWith Johnson & Johnson vaccines on their way across the country, a longstanding dilemma for religious conservatives is being revived: much of the research for coronavirus inoculations relies on the use of material derived from human fetal tissue -- something they have spent years fighting against. Many next-generation vaccines -- including those from Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson -- use specialized cells originally derived from aborted fetal tissue. While Pfizer and Moderna used these cells during preliminary laboratory testing months ago, Johnson & Johnson's vaccine uses the cells as part of its existing manufacturing process -- raising especial 'moral concerns,' conservative leaders told ABC News. baby cream for ass nivea 😁😁😁😁😁✌️✌️✌️🌪️🌪️🌪️🌪️ It's the same fetal cells from one baby from the 70s. The cells have been replicated. Itd more moral to save thousands of lives. You cant do anything for that baby from the 70s. It's a hero though. This issue was decided by the SCOTUS a long time ago. Give it a rest.

Declining Johnson & Johnson vaccine shots is 'inexplicable', Dr. Wen tells Detroit mayorMayor Mike Duggan walked back comments suggesting the Johnson & Johnson vaccine was inferior to others. Heard this: That J&J vaccine gets better in time. 100% effective after 49 days. Only 1 dose. Maybe we could start with it's understandable. Because it is not as effective and people understand that; however, it is effective to not die, so maybe a strategy is to say first take this vaccine and then take another. Where is the research on combo vaccines now? The same Johnson and Johnson that knowingly sold carcinogenic products to babies Soo much blood on their hand ... it’s oblivious they don’t care ..knowing their baby powder harmed soo many and they knew the issue was there the whole time
