President Joe Biden assured the world during a press conference on Thursday that NATO would respond if Russian President Vladimir Putin used chemical weapons in Ukraine.
The White House has resisted saying the use of chemical weapons would be a “red line” for the United States after former President Barack Obama famously failed to act after promising to do so in Syria. The president boasted of his foreign policy experience after meeting with European leaders and leaders of the NATO alliance.
