Youth activist Jerome Foster is skipping the UN's climate conference in Egypt because of the country's record on LGBTQ rights. Presented by BASFCorporation.

this year reported a pattern of abuse by the security forces of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, despite his launch of a national human rights strategy in 2021. The pattern includes jailing peaceful political activists and violating people's rights on the basis of sex, gender identity, secual orientation, and religious beliefs. that there will be a"facility adjacent to the conference center" for activists.

This is a major lift following the enactment of the Inflation Reduction Act, which authorizes nearly $370 billion in climate spending over a decade. Ending fossil fuel subsidies would also go a long way, a policy Foster is pressing the Biden administration on. He warned that continuing to hand out tax breaks for fossil fuel expansion could wipe out a lot of the climate progress to date.

Parma Police arrest ‘vigilantes’ for stealing mistreated dog, cite owner for abuse“We cannot and will not endorse vigilante justice,” Parma Police stated. “If you believe a crime is being or has been committed, then please call the police and let them handle it accordingly.” The animal control officer was involved and handled the case appropriately, according to police. Then was was piece a crap owner arrested on animal cruelty 🤔 They don’t endorse free speech either '...two “vigilantes” were arrested for stealing it.' Since getting pronouns right is a national obsession, I'd like to point out that a dog is a living being, not an 'it'. BTW, shout out to the ladies who rescued the dog! 👍
