The ever-fashionable actor opted for a custom piece from Dior’s spring 2024 haute couture collection for the 96th Academy Awards.

Jennifer Lawrence may not be a nominee at the 2024 Oscars, but that won’t stop her from dressing to the nines for the crown jewel of awards shows. To mark the occasion, Lawrence turned to Dior, with whom she has a longstanding relationship. The ever-fashionable actor opted for a custom piece from Dior’s spring 2024 haute couture collection for the 96th Academy Awards, where she will serve as a presenter.

With only so much real estate for makeup, she opted for the a Dior Addict lip oil. “My phone and lipstick is typically all that fits,” she says. While it may be a simple, clean look, it is the product of meticulous work from the members of the atelier. Lawrence’s dress is made of artisanal silk moiré, a technique that involves pressing wet layers of fabric together under heat to produce a telltale rippling effect.
