After rocking her world as she knew it by exposing her longtime, beloved co-anchor Mitch Kessler as a sexual predator, the Apple TV+ drama set Alex on a two-season, rollercoaster journey of self-reflection.
She publicly exposed her own #MeToo-era complicity, attempted to take down and reshape a network, went through a divorce, retired; then she made a comeback, was lauded as a feminist hero, faced being “canceled” over her relationship to Mitch, suffered a near-breakdown, grieved the death of Mitch, made amends — and then, in the finale, she tested positive for COVID-19.

Can you do a Roundtable with the entire cast, producers and writers? Because I am gonna need these people to say some of this sh*t to Julianna’s face
KerryEhrin Love the show and loved s2!! 🔥
Daniel has never been given a meaningful storyline. Nothing that he does or that is done to him has any resonance with or impact on other characters. What gives? Every other major characters’ actions actually effect the story.
Cory, Bradley and Laura? WTF ReeseW
bestie come clean right now pleek ReeseW
ReeseW have you lost your mind? asking honestly
Is there anything to unpack? Literally the hour of television with less nuance ever be produced lol
It must be soooo bad
Any comment miss social justice regarding the Christmas parade ? Or doesn’t that incident fit your political agenda ?
Worst show on tv right now
I wanted to say everything everybody else said. So...What they said! Billy Crudup was absolutely the ultimate! Eventually, the only reason I continued to watch. Everybody else...meh!
I really wanted to like this show. First season hinted at some genius, then it went the way of 'Nashville' (the show), a bunch of people pretending to live lives they know nothing about in a setting that the writers don't appear to know anything about. Except Billy Crudup.
very poor second season imho
It was a mess , meandering storylines , unlikable characters and over the top acting ( ahem JA) I really enjoyed season 1 so if they come back I hope things improve.
Fan of the show but the season finale was bad very bad...
I came to loathe every single character on this show, and not in a good way.

NPR Cookie Consent and ChoicesJennifer Aniston was amazing in this episode. She went ALL the way there with Alex's covid story. She was raw and absolutely amazing! TheMorningShow I don't understand the author's need to have the main characters be all good or all bad in order to 'like' them. What is interesting to me about the show is that neither woman is either all good or all bad, neither fully redeems herself. At least yet. Kind of like real people. Why would you have us read a long long review of someone who ends w/ “has never worked for me for more than a few scenes at a time. Why, despite the obviously abundant talent involved, it wasn't actually good.” 😂 So annoying. “Hey you hate that show... why don’t cover it!?”🙄

NPR Cookie Consent and Choicesnice “Much of your reaction to this season, I have learned, will turn on whether you are fundamentally sympathetic to Alex or not.” I don’t understand why critics are insisting on this interpretation of the show. I thought the whole point was to make them morally ambiguous. “The efforts to build emotionally significant stories around these two women are undercut by the fact that they persistently, unapologetically act like privileged, oblivious jerks.”I mean, again, isn’t that the point? the show takes lovable actors and shows how hollow that love is
