Jeffrey Dean Morgan teases his involvement with Invincible through a new post that heavily hints at the actor being cast in the series. Prime Video's Invincible follows the story from the award-winning comic book of the same name, which debuted in 2003 and was written by Robert Kirkman. Kirkman is also the creator of The Walking Dead, which became a global phenomenon after the AMC show's release, which starred Morgan as the foul-mouthed villain/anti-hero Negan.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Morgan shared on Instagram a photo of himself with Invincible compendiums 2 and 3, alongside a caption that hinted at the actor doing his research on the story, with a "thanks to Robert Kirkman." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jeffrey Dean Morgan Invincible season 1's cast included many actors from The Walking Dead, which means Morgan's possible involvement in season 2 would be in line with how Kirkman operates the show. Even Invincible's main character, Mark Grayson, is voiced by one The Walking Dead star, Glenn actor Steven Yeun. However, Morgan's post still has an ambiguous message.
As Morgan's on-screen talents largely play in his favor in portraying villains, anti-heroes, and other morally gray characters, the actor is more likely taking on one of the Invincible comics' most famous villains. One of those villains who have yet to be introduced in the show is Thragg. The villain's possible Invincible season 2 introduction could instantly shift the show's axis since Thragg is one of the major threats in the Invincible comic book universe, if not the biggest.
Another possible choice, although less likely, is that Morgan was actually teasing his casting for the Invincible live-action movie, and not the animated series. Morgan has been fancast in the role of Omni-Man ever since the news about an Invincible live-action movie being in development became public. Invincible season 2 could redeem Omni-Man so that Mark gets help to fight the new villains.
Oh most amazing life action
