I'd hazard a guess that most rich people go into politics for all the wrong reasons (assuming that the proper reason to go into politics is to serve and benefit the taxpayers).
One could argue though that Ivanka went into public service to protect her father from both himself and from those who had pre-conceived views of him. She is also far more astute and in tune with today's society than her two brothers. Saying this as a non-partisan Canadian.
