The singer and former Nickelodeon star is releasing a new memoir,"Things I Should Have Said," due out Jan. 18 and sat down with ABC News exclusively to discuss her life.” Speaking with ABC News’ “Nightline” anchor Juju Chang, the younger Spears sister is expected to discuss her book and her relationship with her world-famous sister and the rest of her family, whose involvement in the pop star’s 13-year conservatorship have come into question throughout the singer’s ongoing legal battle. She also shared her thoughts on her sister's conservatorship and the pressures she faced having a child at age 17. Speaking to news reporter Juju Chang, Jamie-Lynn admits: "I love my sister. "I adored her. “Things have gotten complicated?” the news anchor asks Jamie Lynn Spears, who responds, “I guess so. I just really, she felt like everything to me," she said of her sister, who is 10 years older..

But over the years, she said, she witnessed Britney's behavior change, becoming"erratic" and even"paranoid. When she testified in June 2021, she told the judge she believes members of her family should be in jail for the “conservatorship abuse” she says she endured over the years. Jamie-Lynn is also expected to open up about her brand-new memoir which is titled, Things I Should Have Said." Britney was placed into a conservatorship in 2008, which was dissolved last year after a heated court battle. "I was happy. Spears — a former Nickelodeon actor who rose to teenage stardom as her older sister catapulted into one of the biggest global pop stars in music history — was part of the cast of “All That” and then her own series, “Zoey 101,” which ended shortly before her pregnancy at 16 years old became a major news scandal. I was," Jamie Lynn said about the dissolution of the conservatorship. The tell-all interview on Good Morning America comes after Toxic singer Britney has continued to publicly slam her family for not supporting her during her 13-year conservatorship - which finally ended on November 12."When it was put into place I was 17 years old.” Last summer, the older Spears sister addressed the court to make claims about her family’s role in her conservatorship."S***, I really don't know" Option #2 .

I was about to have a baby, so I didn't understand what was happening. Nor was I focused on that. “I also would like to be able to share my story with the world, and what they did to me, instead of it being a hush-hush secret to benefit all of them. Anything that happened to me had to be approved by my dad," Britney insisted. I was focused on the fact that I was a 17-year-old about to have a baby. I understand just as little about it then as I do now. It concerns me." Jamie Lynn is now 30 and has two daughters, Maddie, 13, and Ivey, 3. My whole family did nothing. The working title proved controversial, as it drew a line from Britney Spears' smash hit debut".

There has been publicly documented strife between the sisters.” After that testimony, Jamie Lynn took to Instagram to express support and explain why she did not speak up about the conservatorship earlier, saying, in part, that she is “so proud of her for using her voice. Last year, Britney posted on social media that she was"hurt .. Britney’s fans connected the dots on each and every word the singer seemingly says about her young sibling in her Instagram captions. My so-called support system hurt me deeply.. deeply" by her sister's tribute performance at at the 2017 Radio Disney Awards, when Jamie Lynn performed a medley of remixed versions of Britney's hit songs. “It still blows my mind every day I wake up how my family and the conservatorship were able to do what they did to me … It was demoralizing and degrading!!!! … I’m used to keeping peace for the family and keeping my mouth shut … but not this time … I have NOT FORGOTTEN and I hope they can look up tonight and know EXACTLY WHAT I MEAN !!!!” Jamie Lynn has condemned negative feedback she has received on social media, sharing nasty and dangerous comments, including some that attack her own children, who are 13 and 3.

The negative feedback perplexed Jamie Lynn, who says the performance was meant to honor her sister. "Honestly, it was somewhat confusing to me about that, and I actually have spoke to her about that," Jamie Lynn said. “I’ve gotten beyond use to receiving the love and the hate from strangers, since before I ever even had a choice at the age of like 8,” she posted earlier this month on her Instagram stories, in response to a social media bully who wished rape on her young daughters."I was doing a tribute to honor my sister and all the amazing things that she's done. I have cleared up with the fact that I don't think she's personally upset with me about that.” Given the attention on the conservatorship and timing of Jamie Lynn’s memoir, which will be released by Worthy Publishing on Jan. Truthfully, I don't know why that bothers her.

" Even with the conflicts over the years, Jamie Lynn says she has nothing but love for her big sister. Press leaks reported that the working title for the book was initially, “I Must Confess” — in reference to a line from her sister’s hit debut single, 1998’s “Baby One More Time. "That love is still there. 100 percent.” The book is said to cover the former Nickelodeon star’s journey as a mother, sister, daughter, actress and musician. I love my sister," she said."I've only ever loved and supported her and done what's right by her, and she knows that, so I don't know why we're in this position right now. Here is a first look at the interview, which will air Wednesday on “Good Morning America” and “Nightline.
