The worst legacy for children is the idea that they are of no value, which happens in many areas. Any achievement is because of their parents & what they provided. Many seek ways to achieve wirhout any links to their parents or schooling but is harder in some prpfessions.

It's meant to point out that there are many talented people who will never get a shot a doing what they love because some kid with connections took their place. True, there are many talented people with connections, but there are more who wouldn't be where they are without them.
It’s an unnecessary term. Proximity does breed likelihood, yes (in any field), but there’s LEGIONS of stories about people who bombed, or people who got their script to the right person a la six degrees of separation, then the script did NOT have the goods.

I have a lot of admiration for Jamie Lee but what hurts and denigrates is the inequality of oportunities. This is a place which privileged people does not know. It hurts also and it is unfair.
No one is saying that a nepo baby can't be talented (there are some, like Sofia Coppola or JLC itself). But to deny the privilege is quite unfair, when it is something evident in the history of Hollywood and that in recent years has multiplied.
But it's a fact
And those babies and children who have struggled because of a parents Hollywood success? Its telling how y'all seem to care more about those like Jamie Lee than those we don't know.
As much as I love jamieleecurtis, she’s missing the mark. Access & privilege has been a mainstay of the entertainment industry for forever - making it almost impossible to enter for those without access & privilege, especially people of color and those without financial backing.
