The new image will be compared to an older one captured by Hubble to help scientists learn more about the structure and composition of spiral galaxies

A new photo taken by the James Webb Space Telescope has revealed the hidden gaseous"bone" structure of a distant galaxy — and it's absolutely spectacular.

This isn't the first time IC 5332 has had its photo snapped. The 66,000 light-year-wide galaxy — roughly two-thirds the size of our Milky Way — was also imaged in the past by the Hubble Space Telescope. But Hubble can’t see in the infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum, whereas the James Webb Space Telescope can. As a result, the updated image contains so many previously obscured details that it looks almost completely different.

About 100 times more powerful than the Hubble Space Telescope, the $10 billion space observatory was launched to a gravitationally stable location 1 million miles from Earth — known as a Lagrange point — in December 2021.

Space telescopes capture asteroid slam with striking clarityCAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — The world now has stunning new photos of this week’s asteroid strike, the first planetary defense test of its kind. NASA on Thursday released pictures of the dramatic event taken by the Hubble and Webb space telescopes. So this asteroid is in a gravity lock with a larger asteroid? Are they expecting that will remain the case? Just with a new orbit? I’m confused. When will we know if it worked? Last pic image. and video clip of the impact last 47 seconds. NASA

Spiral galaxy captured in 'unprecedented detail' by Webb telescope | CNNA dazzling spiral galaxy located 29 million light-years from Earth appears in 'unprecedented detail' in a new image released by NASA's James Webb Space Telescope. I have lost so much through investing cause I was new and didn't meet the right account manager to invest with. I was at the verge of quitting till I was introduced to Blake and my story changed. its worth a try I can testify on this platform, all thanks to blakescott462 Any proof the picture is real beyond just taking the word of government liars who tell us it's true? No, so..... In as galaxy 29 million light years away, Greg Abbot is a little piss baby
