We chat with StarWarsVisions executive producers James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, and Josh Rimes about how different studios tackle StarWars and the new perspective on the Sith that their project explores:

Star Wars: Visions is a collection of animated short films from different studios that offer a unique new perspective on Star Wars. The first volume focused on Japanese studios, with each episode featuring a different anime style. Volume 2 expands to include studios from around the world, including Ireland, Chile, South Korea, and South Africa.

James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez & Josh Rimes on Star Wars Visions Volume 2 Screen Rant: Visions is one of my favorite additions to Star Wars! The animation is gorgeous, and the storytelling is just brilliant. Can you talk about how bringing in new studios from all over the world shows a different perspective of Star Wars and the global impact it's had?

One of my favorite parts is how different people connect with Star Wars. I also love that every episode ends a little bit with a cliffhanger where the story could potentially continue. We have that happen with "The Duel" and the Ronin novel and comic. Are there any other episodes that you would want to see continued either in print or animation?

If those characters are reinforcing the protagonists' story or feel grounded within the storytelling, then it gives them the ability to leverage those characters. Not to say if someone pitched us one that we wouldn't listen to it or wouldn't consider it, but our primary interest is in, let's use Visions to explore the new. If these characters fit in the storytelling to reinforce that new then we'll have the conversation.
