Jacksonville woman accused of trying to steal vehicle in Ormond Beach with elderly couple still inside
ORMOND BEACH, Fla. — A Jacksonville woman is facing charges after attempting to steal a vehicle from an elderly couple Saturday morning, according to the Ormond Beach Police Department. Police said a Good Samaritan who saw what was happening before officers arrived, had drawn a firearm and held Perry at gunpoint to"ensure the safety of those involved," but put the weapon away after he noticed Perry was not armed. The Good Samaritan remained at the scene,"reminding Perry he was armed" until officers arrived.Perry resisted arrest but was ultimately taken into custody, according to police.
