And she completed her Fourth of July look with her blonde hair plaited in pigtails. She wore those braids while her father wasHow did she get there to that spot alongside the rest of us? How did she get to that place that has good light and kitschy clothes, where she can smile beyond and above the suffering around her? Where her hair and makeup and family can be picture-perfect while demonstrations go on in some other street? It’s not as if the information isn’t all around her.
You can't be serious. You really believe that on the 4th of July 'most of the country was reflecting on and getting defensive about its greatest sins of slavery, of indigenous genocide, and an inability to contain a pandemic that much of the world has managed to contain'?
