Wednesday marks National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day and the 81st anniversary of the attack in Hawaii. Here’s a look back at the attack and solemn commemorations honoring those who lost their lives. PearlHarbor

Lou Contor is one of two surviving sailors who lived through the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on board the USS Arizona, which exploded and sank after being pierced by two aerial bombs. Wednesday marks National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day and the 81st anniversary of the attack in Hawaii.

There was more evil with Japan's Hirohito than Pearl Harbor. For example, the Rape of Nanking, Unit 731, Korean Comfort Women, what they did to the Philippines & the Bataan Death March, and other atrocities like the slave camps that kept American & British POWS.

Watching the movie, From Here to Eternity, as a young boy, made me become aware of the moment and through school, the historic occurrence. I don't know, but, sometimes, reflection is good, for some.

Japan don’t play,I respect they culture. I remember when anime was taboo,now everyone’s a follower not a leader. Too many heroes and less villains. I don’t like that.

Well at least you guys remember and give a damn!

There were many more nightmarish things with Japan's Hirohito than Pearl Harbor, the Rape of Nanking, Unit 731, Korean Comfort Women, the Phillippines & Bataan Death March, and more like slave camps they kept American & British POWs. Hirohito attended Harvard in the USA too.
