) -Helping the homeless comes in many different ways especially in Baldwin County where experts say the homeless situation looks a lot different compared to surrounding counties.
Michelle Hillman with Sea Glass Initiative says they recently saw how serious the homeless problem was during an outreach in Lilian and reached out to Housing First about bringing resources directly to the homeless. Around 10 different agencies came to Lilian Methodist Church offering different services like rental assistance, utility assistance and food boxes. For people like Stan who says he’s been living in a tent for three months with his mother and sister this event was a good way to get help that’s hard to come by.
