The United States is preparing for a worst-case scenario that more than 600,000 Americans will need to leave the Middle East if the war spreads, The Post reports.

At least 5,791 people have been killed and more than 16,200 others injured in Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip, the territory’s health ministry announced Tuesday, including 704 people it

said were killed in the past 24 hours. In a post on Telegram, the ministry said that 2,360 children and 1,292 women had been killed in total. The Post could not immediately verify the figures.
