You won't believe what it took to get this picture from the 2017 eclipse

Jon Carmichael came up with a perfect way to take a solar eclipse picture... An airplane! The story of how this happened is fascinating. Jon shares how he got the idea, how he found the perfect flight, how he took the picture, and how the pilot had to get permission from the FAA for a certain move so could get all of this in one frame. Here is the video.

This image has inspired more eclipse flights April 8th. And Jon going to do it again. The details are being announced on a national network soon. I will give you a hint where he’s taking his next picture from. The hint... It’s my job to give him the cloud forecast. Where do you think he’s taking off from?
