Research shows 64% of managers expect their company to transition to a four-day schedule within the next five years.

Some companies are figuring out whether a four-day work week is realistic in the U.S., as new research shows it could be beneficial to employees and employers alike.

"It’s nice to actually feel like we do have off time, and that we are protective of that time," said Nate Jones, an experienced analyst and head of research at CX Pilots, a business consulting company that’s trying out a four-day, ten-hour schedule.

Just more time for people to work that second job they need just to make ends meet in this country

It's irrelevant in CA. No employer is going to pay 8 hours of overtime every week.

lazy

I work 11 hours, six days a week. No lunches or breaks. This would be very beneficial to me. Every year, my vacation. After 6 years, my vacation gets paid out so I don't lose it. I have no friends and no social life. I don't even have a family life. Burn out is real.

Why are you pushing this. Weird. The work-from-home set basically have a come-and-go as you please work week.

Who cares what managers support? All that matters: what CUSTOMERS need and want.

I work 4-10 hr days. It's quite lovely. The problem is you can be taken advantage of in pay. And for some, that 5th day is overtime to make up the difference. If more companies offered the 4 days. Itd be easier to negotiate.

😂😂😂 Most managers are salary, so yeah

The problem with that…is when the companies make the “5th day” mandatory….

My daughter has a 4 week school schedule and the kids love it

that just means the USPS will treat its slave labor force worse. They will need to come up with more schemes to create unfair labor practices while the Postal Unions hang out at Myrtle Beach.

Not ready. Not all jobs can be done in a 4 day week.

I manage Project Managers, as long as the projects are delivered on time, under budget and with high satisfaction, I don’t care when my team works, it could be 3 hours or 10 hours a day

Are we still restricted by ' x-days' work week?

Oh ya. Not enough people working now. .lets work 1 less day!

sure if they are 15 hour days
