I think the authors are strawmanning a bit. For example, Galactica closed down after 3 days because a lot of 'evangelists' pointed out that it just made stuff up. People are impressed with ChatGPT, but ChatGPT doesn't pretend (Like Galactica) that it's a flawless research tool. Nobody said it was perfect (or even good), but it's simply incredible! Tell it to write some new episodes of a show you like, have it add a cameo of your favorite actor, and then have it summarize the whole episode as a limerick. I've never seen chatbots work this well! The technology is sound it's the programmers who fall short. We need an unbiased AI to create AI
