Dentists can’t eliminate all risk, but they are taking steps to minimize the chances of spreading the coronavirus.
You’ll likely notice changes as soon as you enter the office. Many dentists have removed magazines from waiting rooms, for example, as well as some chairs to encourage social distancing. They also are spacing out appointments to avoid crowding their offices. You may be asked to arrive for your appointment with a facial covering and to wait in your car until equipment is cleaned and the dentist is ready. Before receiving care, you can also expect staff to take your temperature and ask about COVID-19 symptoms.Coronavirus is spread mainly through droplets people spray when they talk, cough or sneeze. Dental care requires close quarters and procedures that can generate a spray of saliva and water.
Staff also have started wearing masks, face shields and other personal protective equipment. Some dentists are charging for all the extra gear, so ask in advance if you should expect extra costs. As the pandemic spread earlier this year, dental offices in the U.S. mostly closed, except for emergency care. By the end of June, nearly all offices had reopened, according to surveys by the American Dental Association.
I went this week. I had to stand outside the office until they approved me to come in. The approval process was making sure I had a mask, asking me questions about symptoms and high risk activities, and taking my temperature. Definitely felt safe.
Texas 2,628 Covid deaths 11,431 Influenza deaths California 6,374 Covid deaths 17,838 Influenza deaths (2009 H1NI was declare a global pandemic when only 12,000 died) Virginia 1,853 Covid deaths 3,226 Influenza deaths Georgia 2,878 Covid deaths 4,266 Influenza deaths
The govt, and ADA, puts so much restrictions on dentists it is appalling! Do you really believe that the majority of dentists would put themselves, staff, patients in harm's way? This is their livelihood.
Went yesterday. Only one patient at a time. They were masked...... Like always.
I'm going next weekly for my six month cleaning, pretty sure the dentist office will be better sanitized than Target and Home Depot.
No problem in red areas.
Freaking dentists , three small fillings 679.00& 28 minutes in the chair one tooth fell out in the next month the other in 4! Months , I need dentures why did the even bother, now they want 5000.00$ for the freaking new teeth, obviously 🙄 I am going somewhere else. Screw them?!!
I ask you, the United States federal government, to take this epidemic seriously! Don't just talk about it. The fall of that country will affect the world economy, especially the United States.
Yes
Had to do it just a week ago and it was fine. Everyone wore masks, they sanitized the shit out of everything people touched (including my insurance and debit card), took temperature, etc. Hell, even the x-ray had a throwaway barrier/cover on it.
Not if a test is required. Test is either a delivery or a DNA grab.
Is it safe to believe your CommieLibMedia Bull Shit
