Panicked mothers who rely on baby formula are being told on social media to start breastfeeding, as if on cue. But is it really that simple?

“Working moms who pump need time to step away from work a couple times a day, find a quiet and private place to pump, more time to clean all the equipment, a good cooler bag for transportation and a short enough commute to prevent the milk from spoiling," Powers tells TODAY Parents.

"When I pumped at work, it took up a ton of mental energy," she recalls."I disappeared for 30 minutes twice a day into a small room used by multiple moms, where I’d lock the door, take off my dress, pray nobody would walk in on me and then pump and clean all the parts. This also meant I usually had to work more later at night to make up for the lost pumping time."

Ashbeck points out that having a supportive family is a big part of the breastfeeding journey."It's not the right answer for every mom."

Our politicians are more concerned w getting into our vaginas instead of caring for children already around. How do they expect to feed all these children that will result when RvW is dissolved. What about adopted or segregate births.

For the past 16 months I've been sending formula and diapers to my niece for her youngest child. The one month Amazon was out of stock, Walmart filled my double order. It is a single supplier that is not shipping. But why let the truth stand in the way of a manufactured crisis.

My mother raised 8 kids, made her own, store bought wasn't even an option, I raised my son on homemade...

Breastfeeding is a personal choice. Stop telling us what to do with our bodies.

This is a horrible headline. Maybe shift the focus to the corporations that are starving children.

That is a decision that must be made right after birth, if you decide then that your not going to breastfeed the doctor gives you medicine to dry up the milk glands.

No it's not that simple for everyone! I had to work hard to nurse my kids.
