The Irvington flag football team, pictured cheering during a 2023 game, may have to forfeit five of its six victories this spring.The Irvington flag football team, arguably the most talented in the state, will forfeit all five of its Super Football Conference victories for use of two ineligible players, putting its qualification for the SFC playoffs in jeopardy.
“We received a complaint and, after investigating, we determined they used two ineligible players and have to forfeit their SFC games,” Mullahey said. “I can’t say for certain Irvington would be out of the tournament, because there is still the chance it could received an at-large bid,” Mullahey said.
