The IRS has begun sending warning letters to thousands of cryptocurrency holders about failing to report income and pay tax on transactions

The agency expects its mailing to be completed by the end of August. It is sending three variations of one letter, depending on the information it has about the recipient.

This is pretty much every phishing scam out there.

Who actually made a profit on any crypto currency in 2018? Is this a real story? Seems like anyone reporting would be reporting a loss on their rax return.
