Varadkar, in an interview with the BBC, compared the two sides to soccer teams and suggested that the EU would have the “stronger team” due to its larger population and market. When asked about Johnson’s aim of getting a deal by the end of 2020, he said: “It will be difficult to do this”. The Irish PM added that both sides would have to agree to a “common set of minimum standards” that would have to be “high standards”.
So said whom?
What a stupid thing to say, Just before trade talks? He should be talking about mutually beneficial agreements, Not grandstanding in front of his EU masters.
Well obviously, EU is about having standards, their market is about having standards so those will never drop, and considering the UK wants to sell themselves off to the US and their non existent standards, there's nothing to be gained for the EU
They may but they can't force the UK consumer to buy Irish produce can they. Stop advertising Irish meat as 100% British & Irish. No more Pilgrim's Choice. Try that on the French & see what happens. brexit buybritish
Of course they have, but the UK will have the last laugh..
The Irish are known for being a bit thick, and Leo (who is likely to be booted out at the election) is no exception. He said the UK is one country with about 60 million people. Erm....there are 65 million in England,3 million in Wales, 5 million in Scotland and 2.5 million in NI
Not now Leo, the world is busy.
Good luck with that! WTO haha
that is the EU wants you to think. they are desperately trying to hold it together. it won't work.
he'll be political history in 2 weeks 👋😂😂😂
