VLADIVOSTOK, Russia - An Iranian chess referee who has been accused of violating her country’s Islamic dress code while adjudicating a women’s tournament said that she does not want to return home from Russia out of fear for her safety.
Bayat got into trouble during the first stage of the championship in Shanghai last week when Iran state media criticized her for photographs in which she appeared not to be wearing the headscarf. Bayat is one of many Iranian sportspeople to come to blows with the authorities over the hijab and other policies.

Okay, I’ll ask: Chess ref?
Will we see any outrage expressed by the WomensMarch2020 about this?
Forcing a woman to wear the hijab goes against the whole meaning behind wearing it. Is it God that demands it or Man? Does she love God any less for not wearing it? Would God love Man more for punishing women for such a small offense?
Good for you
