Iowa Basketball Star Caitlin Clark Roasts SNL Anchor Michael Che

Before appearing, Che told a joke about the University of Iowa's announcement they will retire Clark's #22 jersey, saying it will be replaced with an apron. With an assist from co-anchor Colin Jost, Clark highlighted some of Che's recent jokes about women's basketball and the WNBA, before asking Che to cold read some jokes live on the air.

The so-called "joke swap" is a tradition in which Jost and Che write jokes for each other that they read live on the air without having seen them beforehand. The jokes Che was forced to read insulted his standup comedy, his ability to be funny in general and suggesting he was responsible for some less than reputable action at Purdue University.Clark is currently one of the biggest stars in the world of sports, after breaking just about every record she could in college basketball.

With Clark expected to join the Indiana Fever, nearly all of the team's game this season will be nationally televised, and tickets for games are already selling out across the country. In Las Vegas, where the reigning two-time champion Aces play, the team has already announced their upcoming game against the Fever will move to a much larger basketball arena.
