Investigators are trying to determine a complex multi-state crime spree that ended with three dead, including a 13-year-old.identified Tana Poppe, 32, after she was found dead at 9866 Haxbylane Road. Here death is being investigated as a homicide that could be linked to a pursuit and deadly standoff in Dane County, Wisconsin.
Poppe's children, a 5-month-old and a 13-year-old girl, traveled to Wisconsin with Grunke that night. The infant was dropped off unharmed at a home in Dunn, Wisconsin around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday night.Dane County Sheriff's Office told reporters Thursday deputies tried to stop the vehicle driven by Grunke and the minor girl. The vehicle took off and during the chase, a gun was fired toward police vehicles.
