Thread Director is a new hardware-based technology that actively recognises tasks and decides whether to assign them to P-cores or E-cores. For example, you want high-priority tasks such as games, content creation and AI to be assigned to P-cores, while E-cores can hand less-intensive tasks and background to save power. Thread Director is software-transparent and real-time adaptive so it it can work with any operating system to ensure Alder Lake's two core types are handled correctly.
Thread Director is scalable from mobile to desktop, so we'll be seeing it in action on a range of devices over the coming months. Intel's Alder Lake CPUs will feature up to 16 cores with the flagship models to have an even split of P-cores and e-cores. Only the P-cores will feature Hyper-Threading, so the CPUs will have 24-threads rather than the usual 32 for a 16-core CPU.

Windows 11 will never see my computers. If I have to, I'll switch to linux first.
Dear, It's the other way around. Windows 11 runs faster on new processors. This is what happens if you hire history students to write technology news.😂
