Sen. Lee, Republican from Utah, heavily criticizes Trump admin.'s briefing for senators on Iran: 'It was probably the worst briefing I've seen at least on a military issue in the nine years I've served'

Democrats said that they didn’t hear anything during the closed-door briefing that suggested there was intelligence that showed Soleimani posed an imminent threat to the U.S. They also said that they were not satisfied with the legal justification on which officials are basing the airstrike, which is the authorization for the use of military force passed by Congress in 2002 to invade Iraq.

"No case was made for imminence. No case was made for thinking this through, and I leave more troubled than when I went into it," he said.:"The bottom line is this: I did not hear evidence of a specific imminent threat that would allow an attack without congressional authorization. With consequences as serious as these, that is unacceptable. Congress needs to act."

Most Republicans, however, left the briefing with a different interpretation of what was presented, defending the president and the strike. Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., told reporters after the Senate briefing that he was convinced Soleimani posed an urgent threat to the U.S. and that the U.S. was right to attack him.

These persons in the photo look like Adolf Hitler's party in Germany who began two world wars against Germany and the U.S.

The authoritian government it taking over not pleasant for those who had a democracy

So Obama was better!!

Oh, f off

Someone with more experience disagrees.

“Perfect briefing!!!” 😜

So you’re saying an unstable, erratic president who thinks he’s a king (BECAUSE you and the GOP have let him get away with crime after crime) doesn’t feel he needs to brief the senate and can just do whatever he wants by himself? Big shock. Until you’re willing to act, be quiet

Not “heavily criticized”. He slammed the Trump admin. Destroyed. Launched a fiery attack. Use the same verbs you’d use if he were talking about a democrat.

All the traitors are coming out of the woodwork

We'll see how that works out for him He might've effectively ended his political career today I guarantee we will primary the fk out of any Republican that does anything to negatively effect his re-election

He is dangerously incompetent as a president and an unhinged man. His erratic threats of war crimes, retaliation, and now his back tracking are the rantings if insanity. The only guarantee we have is that he WILL fly off his rocker again and endanger the entire world .

Mike Lee is not the smartest cookie tho he thinks so. He thinks Ted Cruz is a natural born citizen when in reality he is an illegal alien with ZERO US citizenship papers. ZERO!!!!!

Probably because Trump Administration hasn’t done that many briefings
