Instagram intensifies the battle with TikTok as influencers ponder their options by abebrown716

This possibility has prompted many TikTokers to turn their attention to Instagram even before the launch of Reels. Since the TikTok ban was first discussed a month ago, TikTokers have begun more prominently linking to their Instagram profiles on TikTok and encouraging their TikTok audience to follow them on Instagram.

A Reel lives beneath the profile picture on a user’s Instagram page, like a saved Story does currently. Reels can also be distributed like normal Instagram posts, appearing next to photos on your Instagram page and flowing into your followers’ feeds. Instagram has been working on Reels for more than a year and debuted it first in Brazil last November, followed by rollouts this year in France, Germany and India, where it has been especially popular after that country issued its own TikTok ban.
