Indianapolis Star columnist Gregg Doyel won't be covering the Indiana Fever this year after his “creepy” exchange with new player Caitlin Clark wentwith Clark after flashing her signature hand sign resembling a heart.
“He will not attend any Fever games this summer but will continue to write columns off the team by watching TV from his home,” Kravitz wrote. “Doyel’s most recent column, a Colts-related piece, was published April 29. He has not written a word since then despite the fact the Pacers are in the throes of a second-round playoff series against the New York Knicks.
“I’m devastated to realize I’m part of the problem,” he wrote. “What kind of idiot acts creepy on national television! ”“give me a sports subject who needs a good columnist kick in the rear end and I'm there, but I can't end a granddaddy longlegs' one shot at life by showing it the bottom of my shoe.”
