The man fell into a manure lagoon in Jasper County, Indiana, and died from blood loss.

An Indiana man died after falling into a lagoon of manure at a dairy farm in the northeastern part of the state Thursday morning.FOX59 saidVan Baren fell into the lagoon after a piece of equipment rolled into it and became partially submerged, according to FOX59.

It would have taken two days for first responders to pump the manure runoff out of the pond to locate van Buren, so instead they sailed through the pond on a boat with a treble hook, Sheriff Pat Williamson said according to FOX59. It took more than four hours to locate van Buren, according to FOX59, but once they did, they hauled him out using the hook.READ MORE:
