Russia remains India's top arms supplier with the United States holding down the No.2 spot.

India, the world's second-largest arms importer and fifth-largest economy, has inked the majority of its weapons deals with Russia.

Indian Ambassador Harsh Shringla says New Delhi wants to pivot its defense spending to the United States. Countries like India, that heavily pursue arms deals with the Kremlin are subject to U.S. sanctions, under President Donald Trump's "Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act," or CAATSA.

And while India, the world's second-largest arms importer and fifth-largest economy, has inked the majority of its weapons deals with Russia, Indian Ambassador Harsh Shringla says New Delhi wants to pivot its defense spending to the United States., also known as SIPRI, Russia remains India's top arms supplier, with the United States holding down the No. 2 spot.

It’s US policy to break relations with any country if they make any decisions without asking USA

I don’t really get it Russia is no longer a communist country. Not democratic upto latest west standard that has developed in many many years. China &Russia will never be a western democracy in the next 20 years. Why be so much against them. Level the field for trade is the aim!
