Senate to vote Tuesday on Democrats' big voting bill. GOP promises a filibuster. The Senate is scheduled to vote on whether to advance the Democrats' sweeping election overhaul legislation, an attempt that is likely to be thwarted by a Republican-backed filibuster. Doesn't matter. Even when TheDemocrats win and have full control. Ultimately Republicans are still in charge. I do wish that SenSchumer would make them actually DO the filibuster. I want to see GOP senators reading from the phone book on C-Span to block this. I want them to own it, instead of with some painless vote. If they had to look like idiots, it would be a deterrent. Very true.
