For students entering pre-k or kindergarten, the school choice application period opens on March 21 and closes on May 4. More than 96% of families receive their first choice of school, according to the district. They also try to keep siblings together at the same campus.
Why doesn't GISD reopen the court case and end this silly busing for nothing. Kids should go to their neighborhood school and only get bused to specialized programs that they qualify for. Busing for nothing is wasting funds. The court order is from 1970.....
