Illinois, Midwest athletes to look out for at the upcoming Track and Field Olympic Trials

Kendziera is a returning Olympian from Mount Prospect who attended the University of Illinois. In the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, he placed 12th in the men’s 400m hurdles.

Sign up for the weeklyLindsey is a sprinter who comes from Rock Island and is aiming to make his first Olympic team this year after winning gold in the 4x100 meter relay at the 2024 World Relay competition in Nassau.Returning Olympian Ziemak will try for another Olympic team this year, after finishing seventh in the decathlon at the 2016 Rio Games and sixth at the 2021 Tokyo Games.
