I’m the daughter of Trinidadian immigrants to Canada—a Black woman of East Indian and African heritage, like. Like the Democratic vice presidential candidate, I also went to high school in Montreal. And like her, my husband is white. With these similarities, I’ve wondered what Kamala Harris family gatherings look like. They have to be better than my own.
