I have a 6-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old son, and every morning we battle about sunscreen. They have to go to camp and daycare with sunscreen all over their faces and bodies — and they hate it. My son frequently screams about how sunscreen is going to go in his eyes , and my daughter has her own very strong opinions about sunscreen. And frankly, I have some strong feelings, too.
This one is a thicker formula and harder to rub in than Fresh Monster, but it is water resistant , and my favorite-smelling sunscreen of all the ones we used.
One lesson I’ve learned from the “sunscreen in my eyes” fears of my son is that the way to do face sunscreen is with a stick, as there’s less chance of it going in their eyes. I didn’t discover this sunscreen until later in the summer, but my kids took to almost immediately . This one goes on clearer than many I tried , and though you have to rub it in a bit, you don’t have to in all spots . It’s also easy to apply.
