SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary My Hero Academia just made the most heartbreaking callback to the author's old canceled series with a genius hidden cameo. The latest chapter features many interesting developments as All For One has returned for one last bout but hidden between the exciting action is a subtle yet touching reference to one of Kohei Horikoshi's older works which was unfortunately discontinued.
Barrage, unfortunately, was canceled after only sixteen chapters because of poor readership. The series isn't nearly as well-known compared to My Hero Academia. As such, the little hero's words in chapter #420 likely reflect Horikoshi's disappointment and sadness at the failure of the series which he still holds dear even years after its cancelation.
