Around 5 a.m. on March 15, around 800 Rocky Mountain Power customers in Utah did not have power. By 6 a.m., that number had jumped to over 960, with approximately 22 outages reported statewide. The outages appeared to have been scattered, with the biggest located in Ogden, affecting 669 customers.These outages come during an 18 to 24-hour period of elevated winds.

According to the National Weather Service, northernly and easternly wind gusts between 60 to 85 miles per hour.
