Helman has been head of drama, Hulu Originals since 2015. In his new role, he will report to Craig Erwich, president of Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment. As head of scripted content, he will oversee development across drama, comedy, animation, limited series and international co-productions. A replacement for his prior role as head of drama has yet to be named. Billy Rosenberg will continue to serve as vice president of comedy development, reporting to Helman.

During his time as head of drama, Helman and his team have shepherded Hulu hits like: “The Handmaid’s Tale,” which was the first drama series from a streaming service to win the Emmy for best drama series; “The Act;” “Castle Rock;” “Catch-22;“ and “The Great.” “The last six years at Hulu have been a true labor of love, as I’ve had the privilege of working with artists and executives who inspire me on a daily basis,” said Helman. “Hulu is more than just my home; it’s a place where creators can produce their very best work with the support of our unmatched content team and the far reach of The Walt Disney Company.
