With this kind of allergy, eating out is way too dangerous to risk it. This is a sad story and a lesson to all that dairy is in more products than we every knew and cross contamination is always possible in restaurants.

i think that law is a good idea. it would make it safer for all people with allergens and intolerances, and potentially save lives. my heart and prayers is with that teen and his family.

I’ve seen employees at a major restaurant chain roll their eyes when a women came in & said she couldn’t use certain utensils to make the food that had been around dairy because of an allergy. They kept comparing it to a gluten allergy (which as far as I know you can’t die from)
