My fave horror of the past 3 years, A Quiet Place, was rated PG-13. I've lost count of how many awful R-rated Horror I've watched. This 'controversy' is made up nonsense.
I mean they admit it was written and shot rated R then retooled into PG13 after test screenings? That makes it less vicious then

It isn't the rating that makes me doubt the movie will be any good, to be honest. It's the resume aka that trailer.
Poltergeist is PG and to this day I can barely sit through that movie. A PG-13 rating doesn't make a movie not scary.
Seriously, this version can't be any worse than the 2006 abomination. That was utter garbage. The original classic is untouchable.

its sad that some people are actually mad when a movie isnt rated R. gore rarely adds to the story in a way that couldnt be done without the gore. F bombs add absoutlely nothing. even from a creative view f bombs shouldnt be ok. its lazy to put a word in a script 100s of times
I like that perspective! Don't always need shock and awe to prove a point. Some times it comes off lazy and cheap. With that being said, still needs to be good haha
