It has nothing to do with the actress, she's lovely. The character shouldn't have been put in TLJ in the first place as there were enough plot points to handle already. JJ at least had Rose in it instead of sending her on an off-screen mission. Give her a series.👍
if you couldn’t put rose in the movie more because of cgi carrie issues, couldn’t you have...idk...WROTE rose into a different role in the story? like letting her tag along on the mission with the gang? or having rose take more command at base? this isn’t a one solution problem.

There were still scenes with Rey and Rose that were cut. One on one stuff that could have been in there. That's not cgi problems.
For anyone who is outraged, take the time to read and understand that that is something that happened in the cutting room, not before principal photography, hence Terrio mentioning “photo realism” which clearly refers to whatever VFX work there is on Carrie in some shots.

Because Rose is a useless character that only exists to check off a list for the narcissitic representation cultists. She contributed nothing in TLJ, she and Finn went off on a detour that achieved nothing and was 100% pointless. It added nothing to the story.
Not comparing her to the character, but they 'Jar Jar'd' her. After the strong negative reception to Jar Jar Binks in The Phantom Menace, he was reduced to somewhat of an afterthought in the next film. And seconds of footage in the third. Take from this what you will.
